Welcome to The Residence
Private. Personal. Powerful.
There are very few places in the world where five-star living and clinical excellence truly converge. The Residence, an exclusive apartment suite within Priory Hospital Roehampton, is one of them.
Here, you’re the only client. Every aspect – from your therapy and daily routine to your living space and dining – is designed entirely around you. Your private apartment combines five-star luxury with complete discretion, creating a sanctuary where you can step away from daily pressures and focus wholly on recovery.
Your care is led by a handpicked team of leading mental health specialists, offering round-the-clock support. As Dr Donald Masi, lead clinician at The Residence, explains: “Every person who comes to us arrives with a unique set of experiences, challenges and strengths. That’s why we approach each client as an individual – never applying a standard pathway, but creating something truly personal and clinically precise.”
The Residence is more than rehab. It’s the pinnacle of privacy and personalised recovery – because meaningful change begins when care becomes truly personal.

Tailored treatment, built around you
The Residence offers tailored treatment for a wide range of mental health and emotional wellbeing concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma and addictions. Every programme draws on the latest clinical insight, evidence-based therapies and holistic practices to create a path that feels personal and sustainable.
As Dr Masi notes: “Whether you’re seeking support for a mental health condition or addiction, we bring together the best in psychiatric expertise, psychological care and holistic approaches to support your recovery on every level.”
Your private apartment
Here, comfort and discretion aren’t luxuries. They’re a foundation for your recovery.
Your home is a 1,200 sq ft apartment with en-suite master and companion bedrooms, a private living space and dedicated therapy rooms, ensuring every aspect of your care happens in a setting designed exclusively for you. Housekeeping, laundry and concierge-style support are arranged with quiet precision, with every personal request handled thoughtfully.
This same attention to detail extends to your dining experience, which is completely tailored to your tastes and nutritional needs. Meals are served in the privacy of your suite at times that suit you, though you may also choose to dine within the hospital grounds.
“We’ve designed The Residence to be more than a treatment setting,” says Dr Masi. “It’s a space of safety and hope, where you can focus entirely on your own wellbeing, free from outside pressure.”
Restoring balance in mind and body
Clinical excellence here is a given. What makes it different is how personally and comprehensively it’s delivered.
Your programme is led by psychologists and psychotherapists, with regular input from consultant psychiatrists, ensuring care that is robust and insightful. We draw on a wide range of evidence-based approaches – including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) – alongside complementary therapies such as art, music and drama therapy, equine therapy, nutritional support and somatic practices.
The result is whole-person care, where proven techniques are combined in a way that feels uniquely yours.
Mind-body integration
We believe that when your mind and body are supported together, healing can take place on a deeper, more sustainable level. Alongside psychological therapy, you’ll have access to holistic practices designed to ease tension and support a deeper sense of wellbeing.
Options include yoga and tai chi to improve focus and flow, reflexology and Swedish massage to release tension, aromatherapy to support emotional balance, and somatic breathwork to regulate the nervous system. Woven seamlessly into your wider programme, these practices create space to slow down, recalibrate and experience recovery on every level.
Enriched living
Recovery here goes beyond therapy. True healing also means reconnecting with the world – rediscovering joy, spontaneity and the simple pleasures of life.
That’s why we offer a curated selection of lifestyle experiences, tailored to your energy and interests. These might include personal training, swimming, cycling, outings into London or creative pursuits such as cooking with our chef. Outdoor dining and time in nature are also encouraged, creating moments to savour the present.
Enriched living isn’t about filling your schedule. It’s about bridging the gap between treatment and real life – helping you rediscover purpose, pleasure and possibility as integral parts of recovery.
Exceptional care, every step of the way
Your time at The Residence is only the beginning. From the moment you arrive, we plan for what comes next – creating a bespoke aftercare programme shaped around your progress, preferences and long-term goals. This may include outpatient therapy, wellness check-ins or virtual sessions with your treatment team, with tailored online support available for international clients.
Trusted loved ones can also be involved through guided family sessions, helping to strengthen recovery beyond your stay. Whatever path you take, you’ll leave with a personalised plan and the right support in place – giving you confidence and continuity at every stage.
As Dr Masi concludes: “If you’re considering The Residence, you can expect a thoughtful, bespoke approach – free from judgement, built on trust, and centred entirely on you.”
